The Center for Vision Research hosted a successful symposium on “Ethics in Ophthalmology: From Research to Clinic and Beyond” on February 9, 2015. Our panel of speakers spoke to a diverse group of researchers discussin ethical dilemmas in both the lab and the clinic. We were honored to have George Spaeth, MD of the Wills Eye Institute and Aron Rose, MD of the Yale School of Medicine visit our campus and share their experiences with us. In addition to outside speakers the panel included UF speakers William Allen, JD, MDiv and Lauren Solberg, JD, MTS from the Program in Bioethics, Law and Medical Professionalism.
