Join us for a talk by James Hurley, Ph.D.
Professor of Biochemistry
University of Washington
Dr. Hurley’s talk “A Portrait of the Retina as a Metabolic Ecosystem” will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 17th in C1-15 Communicore.
About the Hurley Lab
The viability and function of neurons rely on proper control of metabolic energy. Our primary aim now is to understand how metabolic energy is produced and distributed in photoreceptors. We are investigating the molecular mechanisms by which these neurons respond to the changing temporal and spatial energy demands of darkness and light.
